Introduction

Dr. Lori M. Levin and Dr. Suzanne L. Porath have extensive experience teaching literacy to children of all ages.  They are dedicated to supporting new and experienced teachers in improving their practice by creating inviting and engaging literacy environments in their classrooms.  Recognizing the needs of the 21st Century, literacy classrooms of today need to support students in being creative, collaborative, critical thinkers, who can communicate their ideas clearly and use technology appropriately.  

Kerri Anderson and Sean Mackenzie are doctoral students at Kansas State University.
